Office of Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity Book Club

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion's Diversity Book Club is an organization for all Pitt faculty, staff, and students. Our organization focuses on authors and works that promote critical thinking within the realm of diversity and inclusion. Last fall we read Dean Larry Davis' Why Are They Angry With Us and at our inaugural event Dean Davis lead the discussion of his work. Last March in honor of Women's History Month we read Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay and hosted a panel discussion.

June 2017

Our next Book Club will take place this June in honor of LGBTQIA+ Pride Month. We are currently seeking recommendations for books that have pride as a central theme, if you have any suggestions please contact Freddy Bauer at fwb5@pitt.edu.
